About Us

Founded in the school year of 2020, Washburn's Model United Nations club is made up of high school students who come together with other model UN clubs from around the region to simulate the real world United Nations in "conferences." Assigned to a certain committee, country and issue to solve, you represent your assigned country, while working with others, to craft resolutions to your given issue.

Our club has represented countries such as France, Panama, Tanzania, Turkey and many others on committees ranging from the International Court of Justice to the Security Council. No experience is necessary to join, you will work with others to research your assigned country. Our advisors are Ms. Dobson and Mr. Jirsa. We meet in room 004.
